| What is the RealTime Protector? |
The RealTime Protector is the real-time scanner. The RealTime Protector scans all files that you access on your computer, including e-mail attachments. The result is that if you attempt to run an infected attachment the RealTime Protector will detect it, as long as the virus signature files are up to date.
The RealTime Protector does not have an interface in Windows NT/2000/2003/XP, only Windows 98/ME. If the RealTime Protector is not running you can start it by running F-PROT Antivirus and clicking on "RealTime Protector" in F-PROT Antivirus' main screen:
