| What is the Scheduler? |
The Scheduler (F-Sched) is a component of F-PROT Antivirus for Windows that can be used to schedule scans and updates.
You can run the Scheduler by running F-PROT Antivirus and selecting "Scheduler" from the main panel:
Please note! If you intend to schedule updates while no one is logged onto the computer, we recommend that you use the Windows Scheduled Tasks. For further information on how to create a task in Windows Scheduled Tasks, please click here.
You can see that the Scheduler is running if its icon is in the system tray:
- The scheduled update does not work when no one is logged onto the computer
- Using the F-PROT Scheduler to update the virus signature files automatically
