What is quarantine?

F-PROT Antivirus quarantines all uncleanable infected/suspicious files found to avoid spreading the infection. These files will be quarantined until a new version of virus signature file is released to disinfect them. Note: The quarantined files along with the backed up files and the settings files are removed during the uninstallation of the program. For further information, see How to uninstall F-PROT Antivirus.

If you believed that a quarantined file is infected by an unknown virus, submit it to our virus laboratory for analysis. If it turns out to be infected, our virus analysts will issue a new virus signature file to disinfect it.
