What is manual scan?

Manual scan is where F-PROT Antivirus scans your computer with its default scan settings. By default, F-PROT Antivirus automatically disinfects or quarantines all files upon detection without user interaction.

Please note that F-PROT Antivirus automatically quarantines all infected/suspicious archives. To make sure that all archives are clean, you may need to decompress them and then scan all files manually. You can also send these archives to our virus laboratory for further testing. For further information, see Disinfecting infected archives in version 6 of F-PROT Antivirus for Windows.

If you would like to set up your desired scan settings, see How to view, add, run, change or delete advanced scan
