| How to perform a full scan on my computer. |
The date the full scan on your computer was last performed appears in Virus scanners menu. Please note that if you have not performed a full scan for some time, the program may display "Important tasks" in the System status menu.
Note: F-PROT Antivirus has option called "My computer" that scans all contents on your computer such as local hard drives, removable media devices and network drives. This scan task is group in the same way as Microsoft group drives. You will notice that in Explorer then "My Computer" consists of "Hard Disk Drives", "Devices with Removable Storage" and "Network Drives".
However, if you would like to scan the local hard drives only, F-PROT Antivirus has option called "Hard drives" that scans all contents on your local hard drives.
Below is a step-by-step guide to perform a full scan. There are two ways to perform a full scan on your computer: through the "My Computer" icon and the "Hard drive" icon.
To perform a full scan on your computer:

You can also perform this task in the system tray. Right click the F-PROT Antivirus icon in the system tray and select Scan My Computer (see below).
