F-PROT Antivirus has four different reaction options available for handling infected files. You may control how F-PROT Antivirus reacts if a virus is found. By default, F-PROT Antivirus disinfects and quarantines infected files upon detection without user interaction.
Below are the scanning actions of F-PROT Antivirus with their respective descriptions.

F-PROT Antivirus disinfects the infected files upon detection and quarantines the uncleanable infected files.
If quarantine fails due to lack of security privileges or the file is on read-only media, it will carry on scanning.
Recommended.
Both event logs and scan reports are created.

| Disinfect, continue scan if unsuccessful |
F-PROT Antivirus disinfects the infected files upon virus detection but continues to scan even if disinfection is unsuccessful.

| Quarantine |
F-PROT Antivirus moves all the suspicious/infected files to quarantine where they await for further action to be taken.
If quarantine fails due to lack of security privileges or the file is on read-only media, it will carry on scanning.
