| Can F-PROT Antivirus delete e-mail messages that are infected? |
Version 6
Yes. F-PROT Antivirus scans and disinfects e-mail messages that contains infected attachments. In case when F-PROT Antivirus quarantines the whole Inbox instead of taking action on just one e-mail, please see What to do if F-PROT Antivirus quarantines the whole e-mail Inbox.
Version 3
No. F-PROT Antivirus does not scan scan e-mail messages. However, when you try to access an infected attachment in an e-mail, the RealTime Protector will alert you and prevent the attachment from running. In such case, you have scan the attachment individually.
