| I am receiving messages that I have been sending out infected e-mails but a scan with F-PROT Antivirus reveals no infection. |
Currently there are several mass mailers that send e-mail messages with randomly named attachments and subject fields. The senders e-mail address is almost never the real sender’s address. Those who reply to infected e-mails with automatic responses do thus often send warnings about infection, which are not related to the original message at all. Since such worms are wide spread, people may receive several such notices without being infected themselves.
Just remember to make sure you always have the latest version of F-PROT Antivirus and the latest issue of the virus signature files.
