Do the automatic scanners scan and disinfect infected compressed files and archives automatically?

The automatic scanners scan compressed files and archives but do not disinfect them automatically. All infected/suspicious archives are quarantine automatically.

Please note that automatic scanners only scan ZIP archives at the first level only (files compressed once). If the ZIP archive contains another archive e.g. ZIP files contains another ZIP files, the ZIP file that lies on the second level archive will not be scanned.

Perform a manual scan to check for infections on other archive formats.
