How can I create a list of the viruses that F-PROT Antivirus detects?

If there is a new virus threat and you wish to know if F-PROT Antivirus protects you from this new threat, creating a list of viruses that F-PROT Antivirus detects can be useful.

To create a viruslist, follow this procedure:

  1. Go to the Start menu and click on "Run":
  2. In the "Run" box, type cmd and press "Ok":
  3. When the command prompt window has opened, navigate to the F-PROT folder:

If you have Windows 95/98/ME follow this procedure:

  4. When this is done, exit the command prompt by typing EXIT and press ENTER.
  5. F-PROT has now created a list of viruses it detects. This list is located in the F-PROT Antivirus folder (default location: C:\Program Files\FSI\F-PROT) and can be viewed in any word processor:

Please note that this viruslist will NOT upgrade itself. If you want a new viruslist you will have to create it again by using the same procedure as before, you will overwrite the old virus list.
