2.1 System recommendations

Although F-PROT Antivirus for UNIX Workstations will operate on less vigorous machines, this recommendation is to ensure optimum system operation.

  • Intel Pentium or higher / AMD K5 or higher
  • Most UNIX distributions, including SuSE, Red Hat and Debian
  • 10 MB of available hard disk space

F-PROT Antivirus for UNIX depends on the Perl 5.8 interpreter being present. If your computer does not have Perl 5.8 installed by default, please consult your manual on how to install it.
