Why am I receiving a compatibility error or warning during the installation?

This error or warning only occurs if your computer does not meet the system requirements of F-PROT Antivirus for Exchange.

Compatibility check scenarios:

  • If the Microsoft Exchange Server version number is below 2000 or is 2000 with no service packs then it will abort the install with this message:

    • "Setup detected that your version of Microsoft Exchange Server is not supported by this product. The minimum system requirements are Microsoft Exchange Server 2000 Service Pack 1.

    Setup will abort the install."

  • If the Microsoft Exchange Server version number is above 2003, or is 2003 with service pack higher than 2 then the user is ask to abort the install using this question:

    • "Setup detected that your version of Microsoft Exchange Server has not been tested for compatibility with this product. It is most likely that the product will work properly but you should check our web site for notes or comments on this issue.

    Do you want to abort the install?"
