|How does F-PROT Antivirus for Exchange change my e-mail?|
If F-PROT Antivirus scans a message that contains nothing but a virus, worm or a Trojan, the attachment/message is removed and a plain text message is put in its place. The message you receive when F-PROT Antivirus has removed an attachment/message is: "This attachment/message was a virus/worm/trojan. It was removed."
If F-PROT Antivirus detets a virus, worm or Trojan in a message but is unable to disinfect, the message will be stored in the Quarantine and a plain text message sent to the recipient. The message claims that: "This attachment/message was infected. It could not be disinfected and was therefore removed and placed in the quarantine".
You should keep the message in the Quarantine until the virus signature files have been updated to disinfect the attachment/message. You can send a copy of the file to our viruslab for analysis via our website's virus submission form.
