What license best suits my needs?

Please select the platform on which you will be installing the F-PROT Antivirus software:

Licenses for Microsoft Windows platforms

F-PROT Antivirus for Windows for Home Users:

A Home User license is intended only for computers that are used for personal purposes. The Home User license covers up to five personal computers. If the computer provides mail services or is used for commercial purposes, a Corporate or Mail Server license is required.

F-PROT Antivirus for Windows for Corporate Users:

A Corporate User license is intended for computers that are used for commercial purposes. The annual fee for a Corporate User license is based on the number of computers that the license should cover. This license does not apply to mail servers, mail relays and mail gateways.

F-PROT Antivirus for Windows for Mail Servers:

This license applies only to mail servers, mail relays and mail gateways, i.e., computers that provide mail services to a network, for either incoming or outgoing e-mail. The license fee for F-PROT Antivirus for Windows Mail Servers is based on the number of users the license should cover.

Licenses for Linux/BSD/Solaris platforms

Please read the information to determine which license will be best suited for your needs.

F-PROT Antivirus for Linux/BSD/Solaris Workstations:

A Workstation license is intended for use on a single-user workstation, protecting the user and systems on that same workstation. If the computer provides networked services, is a file sharing server (e.g., Samba), web server or mail server, then a File Server or a Mail Server license would be required. The Workstation version is licensed per workstation.

F-PROT Antivirus for Linux / BSD / Solaris File Servers:

A File Server license is suitable for file sharing (e.g., Samba), application, print, web and FTP servers, i.e. computers that provide network services other than mail services, protecting the users of those services. If the computer provides mail services, i.e. is an in-coming or out-going mail server, then a Mail Server license would be required. The File Server version is licensed per server.

F-PROT Antivirus for Linux/BSD/Solaris Mail Servers:

A Mail Server license is suitable for mail servers, for either in-coming or out-going mail, protecting the users against e-mail viruses, worms and other malware. The Mail Server version is licensed on a per user basis. We refer to a user as each physical user that F-PROT Antivirus will protect in one way or another against virus transmission via e-mail. The license fee applies to users across different domains.
