What is a subscription and how long does it last?

What is a subscription?

Subscription is a service allowing subscribers to:

  • upgrade the version of the software
  • update the virus signature files and
  • receive technical support via e-mail

By having the latest version of F-PROT Antivirus and the virus signature files help you protect your computer safe from threats such as viruses, Trojan horses and malicious codes.

How long does the subscription service last?

If you have purchased the product online, the typical subscription service lasts for 12 months. All subscription renewals also last for 12 months.

When your subscription is about to expire, you will receive e-mail notices from our sales department reminding you to renew your subscription. If you do not wish to renew, simply ignore the e-mails.

Which F-PROT product uses a subscription?

All F-PROT products require a current subscription to download and install critical security updates.
