|Phishing e-mail scams!|
Several new Phishing scams are being sent to FRISK Software customers. Remember that FRISK Software never asks customers for password, billing or payment information through e-mail. Contact your bank or credit card company immediately if you think you may have replied to these or any fraudulent e-mails with sensitive personal information.
If you have received the e-mail below, please remember that it is very common for these e-mail scams to be redistributed at a later date with only slightly different content, such as a different subject or return address, or with the fake webpage(s) hosted on a different webserver.
Please forward to us any e-mail messages you believe may be scam/phishing e-mails to FRISK Software at email@example.com. Even if it appears that a scam you receive has already been reported, please submit it to us anyway. Be sure to include "phishing e-mail" in the subject.
A copy of the phony e-mail message goes like this:
Dear Valued Member,
The e-mail message seems to be normal except the link in reality points to a spoofed URL. Uploading this link will drop a backdoor on your computer which is detected by F-PROT Antivirus. If you have response to this e-mail message, please fully scan your computer immediately.
