If you have received the e-mail below, please remember that it is very common for these e-mail scams to be redistributed at a later date with only slightly different content, such as a different subject or return address, or with the fake webpage(s) hosted on a different webserver.

Please forward to us any e-mail messages you believe may be scam/phishing e-mails to FRISK Software at support@f-prot.com. Even if it appears that a scam you receive has already been reported, please submit it to us anyway. Be sure to include "phishing e-mail" in the subject.

A copy of the phony e-mail message goes like this:

Dear Valued Member,

According to our terms of services, you will have to confirm your e-mail by the following link, or your account will be suspended within 24 hours for security reasons.

http://www.f-prot.com/confirm.php?account=support@f-prot.com

After following the instructions in the sheet, your account will not be interrupted and will continue as normal.

The e-mail message seems to be normal except the link in reality points to a spoofed URL. Uploading this link will drop a backdoor on your computer which is detected by F-PROT Antivirus. If you have response to this e-mail message, please fully scan your computer immediately.
