A new member of the Sober family that sends out large quantities of racist spam

W32/Sober.P@mm started spreading on 16 May 2005 and was quickly detected by FRISK Software virus analysts. Virus signature files providing protection against this threat were released soon thereafter.
This newest member of the Sober family is downloaded by computers infected by previous versions of the worm, causing these machines to send out large quantities of right-wing hate mail in German and in English. W32/Sober.P@mm has been classified as low risk by FRISK Software's virus experts.

The latest versions of F-Prot Antivirus detect W32/Sober.P@mm using virus signature files dated 16 May 2005 or later.
