Klez.H still spreading
Although Klez.H is a relatively old worm, discovered in mid April, it seems to be still spreading around. W232/Klez.H@mm still ranks among the highest of those viruses caught by F-Prot AVES, the AntiVirus E-mail Scanning service of FRISK Software International.
We want to encourage users to keep their F-Prot Antivirus and virus signature files up to date at all times to counter this and scan their machines for the worm.
Users of Microsoft's Outlook unpatched versions 5.5 or earlier are urged to apply the patch provided by Microsoft and can be found here:
This patch disables an exploit Klez.H uses to run an infected attachment automatically if a message is opened.
