F-PROT Antivirus – Vista Support and More

FRISK Software has released version 6.0.9.0 of F-PROT Antivirus for Windows (English and Icelandic) for 32bit Windows operating systems, both LAN Update and Internet Update versions.

Windows Vista and 2008 Server are fully supported in this release.

The scanning engine has been substantially improved and updated to a new version of our award-winning antivirus scanning engine.

For the LAN Update version this is a major update to its scanning engine.

Microsoft Windows Vista and Windows 2008 Server are now fully supported.

Updating F-PROT Antivirus

We recommend that users of F-PROT Antivirus for Windows update their programs to versions 6.0.9.0. Due to issues we encountered on certain configurations the auto-update mechanism of F-PROT Antivirus this new release is only available from our Customer Zone for now. We plan to release this version to the auto-update servers sometime within a month.
