F-PROT Antivirus – Now in Beta on Windows Vista

FRISK Software has released version 6.0.7.0 of F-PROT Antivirus for Windows.

This new version introduces beta support for Windows Vista. F-PROT Antivirus for Windows 6.0.7.0 can both be installed on the standard supported platforms (Windows 2000/XP/2003) and on Windows Vista.

Running F-PROT on Windows Vista is unsupported and F-PROT Antivirus should only be installed on Windows Vista for testing purposes and not on production machines. Known issues and other information on beta support for Windows Vista can be found on the F-PROT Beta products page.

Version 6.0.7.0 also features an updated virus scanning engine, which will give some performance improvements under some circumstances.

Update! Version 6.0.7.0 LAN Update Released

Version 6.0.7.0 of F-PROT Antivirus, LAN Update, has been released as well and features beta support for Windows Vista as well.
