New versions of F-Prot Antivirus for UNIX based platforms released.
FRISK Software has released new versions of all F-Prot Antivirus for UNIX products. The version number of F-Prot Antivirus for Linux x86, for BSD x86, for Solaris SPARC, for Solaris x86, for AIX on IBM pSeries and for Linux on IBM zSeries is now 4.5.4.
Versions 4.5.4 of F-Prot Antvirus for UNIX based platforms include a number of bugfixes and provide improved handling of UPX objects and EML files as well as enhanced archive bomb detection. These newest versions of F-Prot Antivirus for UNIX based platforms provide users with increased data security and high quality, reliable protection against viruses, worms and other malware threats.
Please note that this will be the last version of F-Prot Antivirus for BSD to support version 3.3 and older of OpenBSD. Future versions of F-Prot Antivirus for BSD will support OpenBSD, version 3.4 and newer.
We recommend that users of F-Prot Antivirus for Linux x86, for BSD x86, for Solaris SPARC, for Solaris x86, for AIX on IBM pSeries and for Linux on IBM zSeries systems update their programs to these newest versions.
