This document describes the changes in the software since F-Prot
Antivirus 6.0.5.0.


MAJOR ENHANCEMENTS
------------------

6.0.5.1:

The upgrade from version 3 to version 6 has been significantly simplified.

When moving start menu shortcuts the program would initiate auto-repair the next 
time it was accessed.  This was by design but the behaviour has been modified 
based on customer feedback.

Fixed an issue on Windows 2000 where the user profile was not accessible and 
instead the default profile was used on logon.

In certain circumstances network access to shares on Windows 2003 was blocked.  
This has now been fixed.

The program now works on the Czech versions of Windows.

Fixed an issue in the task view that would occur when the next run for a 
scheduled task was "never".

The program is now less aggressive in reminding customers that their 
subscription is about to expire.

In addition a few other minor issues were addressed.

6.0.5.0:

F-PROT Antivirus for Windows version 6.0.5.0 is a complete rewrite of the F-PROT 
Antivirus software.  Major new features include:

# Fully automated incremental virus signature file updates and software 
  upgrades.
# More advanced detection of malicious programs.
# Exclude files from automatic and manual scan.
# Completely automatic file system protection that scans and disinfects all file 
  types.
# Quarantine for the isolation of infected or suspicious files.
# Suspicious/infected files are automatically backed up into a safe quarantine 
  area before they are disinfected or deleted.
# Outlook e-mail protection that provides automatic real-time protection against 
  threats from incoming and outgoing e-mails.
# Internet Explorer protection scans and disinfects code downloads from the 
  Internet (such as Microsoft ActiveX controls or installs).
# Password protection to prevent unauthorized modification of your settings.
