This document describes the changes in the software since F-Prot
Antivirus 3.11b.


MAJOR ENHANCEMENTS
------------------

Version 3.12 includes a new scanning engine.  With the latest virus
signature files F-Prot Antivirus detects almost 64,000 viruses and
Trojans.

The scanning speed has been dramatically improved.  In particular the
speed increase is noticeable when using the RealTime Protector.

The help has been entirely rewritten.  It is now more comprehensive
and detailed and covers every component of the F-Prot Antivirus
package.

Various dialogues improved to make them more clear.

Scan result dialogue fixed to display the correct time.

Updater
-------

The Updater has been substantially rewritten for version 3.12 making
it more efficient and user friendly than in previous versions.

The Updater now checks if there is a newer version of F-Prot Antivirus
available for download and notifies the user.
