This document describes the changes in the software since F-Prot
Antivirus 4.4.5.


MAJOR ENHANCEMENTS
------------------

4.4.8:

This version includes a more generic JPEG GDI+ exploit detection
(Microsoft Security Bulletin MS04-028) than the previous version.
It also includes EMF/WMF image format exploit detection (Microsoft
Security Bulletin MS04-032).

4.4.7:

This new version 4.4.7 is released to fix a critical bug in the
Mail Scanner that surfaced in version 4.4.6.

4.4.6:

This new version 4.4.6 is released in response to the vulnerabilities
reported in Microsoft's monthly Security Bulletins for September.

Microsoft Security Bulletin MS04-028 reports a buffer overrun
vulnerability that could allow for remote code execution on an
affected system. The vulnerability involves JPEG processing
technology and affects software that supports the JPEG image format.
This new version of F-Prot Antivirus for Windows provides protection
against malicious code taking advantage of this vulnerability.
